Snack packs combine convenience, health and indulgence

Amid growing health concerns from childhood obesity to diabetes, Sunsweet, Yuba City, Calif., launches Smart Calorie Packs of fruit snacks.

Varieties include Prunes and Cherry Essence prunes in 60-calorie packs and Apricot and Mango in 70-calorie packs.

“With 100-calorie packs driving growth in the snack section, it’s only natural to create a truly healthy snack with Sunsweet fruit products,” says Steve Harris, vice president of marketing. “These products combine convenience, health and indulgence making them the perfect snack for today’s health minded consumer.”

Suggested retail price is $2.35.
