Safety Gate Offers Workers Protection from Falls

The Mezzanine Clear Height Safety Gate is engineered to protect workers from falls on elevated mezzanine loading areas. In addition, it does not have load height restrictions so it can accommodate tall pallets and allow more material through mezzanine entryways. Suitable for material handling, it uses counterbalanced gates between the employee and the edge. As one gate opens, the other gate closes to protect employees from falling. It also accommodates handrails. Made of carbon steel with a safety yellow powder coat finish, the gate installs easily with basic tools.

Reclosable flow wrap packaging machine

The new Artic Side Seal flow wrap packaging machine is designed to pack fresh food products with modified atmosphere (MAP) for extended shelf life. The final package features a longitudinal side seal with a peelable strip over self-adhesive tape, making the package reclosable. A long dwell sealing head characterized by an oval motion profile in the jaw assures hermetically sealed packs at speeds up to 120 packages per minute. The package allows for printing on the top and bottom as well as full product visibility, and is used to package products such as sliced meat or cheese.

Pressure-sensitive level measurement in liquids

The new PT-500 submersible pressure transducer is an affordable and versatile level sensor that calculates level based upon the amount of pressure being exerted on the sensor from the liquid above it. It can be used in a wide range of liquids including water, wastewater and a variety of chemicals. It is Class 1, Div. 1 certified and intrinsically safe for use in hazardous environments. As it has a low current draw, the PT-500 can be used in remote locations and for battery powered applications. It's made of 316L stainless steel and installs simply by dropping it into the vessel.

Large opening conveyor belt

The Omni-Flex 3 x 1 belt features a 3-in. by 1-in. opening and is suitable for conveying pans, trays and larger products in spiral cooling, freezing and general conveyance applications. Despite its larger opening, the belt weighs 35 percent less. The belt is available in widths up to 48 in. with even wider widths available after a system review. No sprocket changes or transfer modifications are required when replacing an existing Omni-Flex. In hard to clean applications, the increased opening makes this belt easier to clean, reducing sanitation costs.
