Start-up seeks cost-effective packaging for a gourmet item
I am starting a gourmet brownie business. I want to individually wrap the brownies in something that is close-fitting, has a tight seal and looks "elegant." I also want to keep the labor cost down.
I've tried a portable constant heat sealer with cellophane bags but the result reminds me of a package of saltine crackers. Not the luxury item I had in mind. Plastic wrap looks better but the seal and protection is not as good as cellophane. It also takes longer to wrap with plastic.
Is there an automated method without an exorbitant cost? Are there companies that will package products for you?
