Who has the greenest food plant?

Food Processing is looking for a food or beverage manufacturing facility that exemplifies a commitment to a sustainable future. And we want you to help us choose our Green Plant of the Year -- by voting on our web poll for one of these great nominees:

  • ConAgra’s Lamb Weston frozen food manufacturing plant in Delhi, La – it’s earned LEED Platinum certification, the highest LEED certificate for green building design.
  • General Mills’ Nature Valley products plant in Albuquerque, N.M. – uses its desert location to substitute outdoor air for conditioned air on cool nights, while also making water conservation a priority.
  • Faribault Foods, a Faribault, Minn., canner, won the 2010 Xcel Energy Efficiency Award for the largest natural gas reduction in Minnesota, plus it reduced water use by over 100 million gallons a year.

Vote for your pick today. The winner will be revealed on FoodProcessing.com in September.
