“Desktop deli” provides outlet for gourmet and specialty foods

New online retailer GourmetFoodMall.com is devoted exclusively to gourmet and specialty food products and currently houses more than 5,000 gourmet food items--many from small, "mom and pop" producers of gourmet and specialty foods that are inaccessible to a nationwide market.

“Right now there are approximately 45,000 producers of gourmet food products out there, each with a sustainable share of the market,” says Andrew Restivo, president and founder. “Since a corner specialty deli could never possibly house all these products, online resources like GourmetFoodMall are a natural next step for the industry.”

GourmetFoodMall’s merchants drop ship their products direct from their facilities, so no warehousing is necessary.
