Reser’s Fine Foods Inc., Beaverton, Ore., in April dedicated a 200,000-sq.-ft., $36 million plant in Topeka, Kan. The plant will make side dishes, most featuring mashed potatoes, pasta and rice, including some of the new Shedd’s Country Crock side dishes from Unilever. It’s capable of a million lbs. of product per day and will employ 300. Cutting the ribbon at the opening ceremony is President Al Reser (seated), surrounded by members of his family and Topeka officials.
