Irwindale, Calif.-based Ready Pac announced July 7 announced that Larry Kern, who was president and CEO, has resigned and is taking early retirement from the Company. Dennis Gertmenian, Ready Pac’s founder and Board chairman, and Jack Davis, Executive Committee chairman, will assume Kern's responsibilities.
Ready Pac has nearly completed its plant restructuring that began late in 2005 under the direction of Kern, resulting in four strategically dispersed plants of scale each with increased capacity and capabilities to better serve retail and foodservice customers nationally.
“Larry has re-shaped our business model and set the stage for dramatic profitable growth for Ready Pac and I want to sincerely thank him for his contributions these past two years,” emphasized Gertmenian. “He has upgraded our entire go-to-market approach, including hiring an experienced leadership team which I look forward to working with as we now capitalize on the investments made.”
Ready Pac showcased some of its latest product innovations at the recent Food Marketing Institute show in Chicago, including its range of premium baby leaf Spinach Temptation, its Fast ‘n Fresh microwaveable vegetable range, and the Cool Cuts Ready Snax single-serve fruits and vegetables designed for kids.
