The Food and Drug Administration has redesigned its web page dedicated to the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act: www.fda.gov/FSMA.

The agency wants to help consumers, industry, food-safety professionals, local and state regulators, and international trading partners get more involved in implementing the new law by learning what FDA is doing and letting FDA know what it should be doing.

Key elements of the page include:
  • a link to the new web-based search engine for recalled foods
  • frequently asked questions about the landmark food-safety legislation
  • videos and graphics explaining how the law will be implemented
  • information about public meetings on these reforms
