Boulder Canyon Natural Foods — part of Inventure Foods — is introducing a single-serve compostable package. The 2-ounce compostable bag is available with a suggested retail price of $1.29 per package in Boulder Canyon's Totally Natural kettle chip variety.
According to Boulder Canyon, the compostable packaging is made from wood pulp sourced from plantations that have Forestry Stewardship Council or similar certification.
The bags can be composted in home or industrial composters, recycled through approved organic recycling programs, or incinerated at modern incineration plants.
