Palm Oil Partnership for IOI Loders Croklaan and Unilever

Oct. 9, 2014
Goal is 100 percent sustainable palm oil for both companies.

IOI Loders Croklaan signed a global partnership with Unilever to supply specialty and commodity fats and oils. A key component is to accelerate Unilever's transition to sustainable palm oil, a specialty of IOI Loders Croklaan.

CEO Julian Veitch said IOI Loders Croklaan has a goal of its own to supply 100 percent traceable palm oil worldwide by the end of 2014.

“Innovation in oils is critical and has always been in the heart of our business and remains a main enabler to drive our ambitious global growth targets," said Veitch. "Together with Unilever, we will create value of which both companies will benefit.”

Unilever has stated its goal is to double the size of its business while reducing its environmental footprint and increasing positive social impact.
