Kurzius To Add Chairman Title at McCormick

Lawrence Kurzius, president and CEO for just shy of a year, will add the title of chairman when Alan Wilson retires on Jan. 31.

Lawrence Kurzius, McCormick & Co.'s president and CEO for just shy of a year, will add the title of chairman when Alan Wilson further retires on Jan. 31, 2017 (Wilson gave Kurzius his CEO title last February).

Wilson was chairman, president and CEO for more than eight years, during which time there was a number of acquisitions and sales grew by more than $1 billion to $4.2 billion.

Kurzius was one of those acquisitions -- he was CEO of Zatarain's for more than 12 years until the company was purchased by McCormick. He also held marketing positions with Uncle Ben's, a division of Mars Inc., and Quaker Oats Co.
