Perdue Farms Names Randy Day CEO

March 8, 2017
Chairman Jim Perdue relinquishes CEO role.

Perdue Farms on March 8 promoted Randy Day to CEO and also named him to the company's board of directors.

Day joined Perdue Farms in 1980 and has held various positions of increasing responsibility in Perdue Foods and Perdue AgriBusiness. He was named president of Perdue Foods in February 2015 and has been COO since May 2016. Perdue Farms is the parent firm.

He replaces Jim Perdue, who relinquishes his role as CEO but remains chairman – as well as company brand spokesperson. Jim Perdue has held both titles since 1991.

Day is just the fourth CEO in the company's nearly 100-year history.
