Portola Tech Relocating its Manufacturing Operations

July 16, 2009

Portola Packaging announced its wholly owned subsidiary, Portola Tech, is consolidating its US manufacturing footprint and leveraging its invested capital in moving its US plant to new modern manufacturing facility.  The new plant is located in Cumberland, RI and the move is part of the company’s on-going strategy to invest in streamlining its operations.   As escalating costs continue to plague all plastics related industries, Portola Tech is taking the steps necessary to be the most cost-effective, high-efficiency producer in the cosmetics packaging markets in which it competes. This new structure will produce significant annual cost savings and further positions Portola Tech as the premier supplier in their market.

Portola Packaging is a designer, manufacturer and marketer of tamper evident plastic closures used in dairy, fruit juice, bottled water, sports drinks, wine, institutional food products and other non-carbonated beverage products.
