Faerch Plast Develops Unique Packaging Solution for Airline Soups

Oct. 15, 2009

Faerch Plast is the first company to develop a packaging solution for serving soups onboard aircraft which has been awarded a ScanStar awards.

ScanStar judges noted the simplicity and functionality of the solution.

The Faerch Plast packaging solution consists of a soup bowl and ans snug fitting lid that is tight enough to contain the soup, while allowing excess pressure to escape. This is achieved via the design of the vent-holes on the edge of the packaging.

A fill level indicator in the wall of the pack, prevents the soup overflowing through the vent-holes during heating.
