MGP Ingredients Passes Audits for ISO/OSHAS certifications

MGP Ingredients announced that its manufacturing site in Atchison, Kan. passed recent surveillance audits as a part of the company’s International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 14001:2004 and Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS) 18001:2007 certifications. During the week of December 7, Det Norske Veritas (DNV) conducted surveillance audits to ensure that the company is managing the established safety and environmental management system effectively, as well as utilizing the system to assist in the company’s continuous improvement efforts. DNV is an accredited organization, governed by the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB), for the certification of environmental and safety management systems. This accreditation process allows for the verification of the competence of the certification organization. With more than 70,000 certificates issued worldwide, DNV is one of the world’s leading certification organizations.
