David Michael & Co. offers two artificial flavors that may be used as a cost-effective one-to-one replacement for vanillin.

Supervan has the characteristic taste impact of, and can be used in any application calling for, vanillin. Although a functional replacement for vanillin, many prefer its more rounded flavor character, which is said to provide a more natural flavor profile. Supervan E replaces ethyl vanillin.

Both are available as either a white, free-flowing powder or as a clear, water-soluble liquid. Supervan and Supervan E provide price and supply stability.
