Macadamia nut oil is comprised of 81-percent monounsaturated fats — higher than any other oil, according to the company. Studies show monounsaturated fats actually help in reducing cholesterol and have benefits for heart and cardiovascular health.
Macadamia nut oil contains no trans fats and has a 1:1 ratio of omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids. With a high smoke point of 400˚F, the oil can be used to fry or sauté foods for longer times than most cooking oils without breaking down the healthy components of the oil.
