Multivac, Inc. plans to unveil its new T450 high-volume traysealer at the Worldwide Food Expo, October 26-29 in Chicago.

The Expo will be the North American debut for both the T450 and the R150 compact FormShrink system. Capable of sealing up to 150 standard trays per minute in a two-lane configuration, the T450 is designed for optimal speed, reliability and flexibility. The R150 brings the advantages of Multivac’s FormShrink inline shrink packaging to smaller processors and lower-volume operations.

The T450 is highly suitable for packaging fresh products such as meat, game, poultry, processed meat, cheese, ready meals and meal components, vegetables, salads and olives, pasta and other noodle and bakery products, fish and seafood, dried fruits and many more besides, because it complies with the strict EU hygiene directive for machines used in food processing. 

In designing the T450, Multivac kept to a bare minimum the number of parts that relate to the shape and size of the trays. Thus, size changes can be made extremely quickly and in just a few simple steps to increase efficiency and productivity. The machine can handle pre-made sealable trays produced from mono- or multilayer films, including foamed material, board and aluminium trays with a sealable coating.
