Parsons-Eagle Packaging Systems
Parsons-Eagle Packaging Systems introduces the new Phaser XP Vertical Form/Fill/Seal machine. The Phaser XP is a low-cost, high-quality solution to processors' bagging needs; it combines simple operation with high performance, according to the company.
Ideally suited for short-run, medium-speed packaging operations, the Phaser XP provides an opportunity for processors who would like to expand their packaging capacity economically. Machine features include a redesigned film roll stand module for improved access during reel changes and splices, improved tension for reliable production of registered packages at speeds up to 60 packages per minute and upgraded pneumatics valves and solenoids with LED indicators and IP65 washdown component ratings.
The Phaser XP includes a vertical unwind dancer with easy-thread roller design for quick and simple machine threading and a color operator interface with 40 recipe storage, diagnostics and simplified electronic print registration phasing. Automatic film tracking allows for consistent package seals. The fiber-optic photoeye creates reliable sensing of registration marks in harsh environments. A rugged self-aligning vertical seal bar can be manually actuated for easier forming tube threading.
The Phaser XP is capable of producing package sizes 2 in. to 13 in. wide and 3 in. to 15 in. long. The machine is offered in either stainless steel or carbon steel construction.
The Parsons-Eagle Phaser XP offers a number of options including a bag support plate with eject, an ultra low profile frame design, fiber-optic print registration, polyethylene film jaws, hole punch or tear notch, flat bottom or side gusset, gas flush and flavor injection.
