WeighPack introduces its SwiftyBagger SB-36 horizontal bagger. The intermittent motion bag filling and closing machine is said to be ideal for liquids and powders alike, making the SB-36 a versatile packaging resource for both the food industry and the chemical industry.
The company says the SB-36 is easy to use and clean, and has a fast changeover time, thus increasing production flexibility and productivity.
The SwiftyBagger SB-36 horizontal bagger handles bag sizes from 5-1/2 inches by 3-1/2 inches by 1-1/4 inches up to 11 inches by 8-1/2 inches by 3 inches at speeds of up to 3,600 bags per hour. The non-wicket bags may be flat-bottom, gusset, pillow, stand-up or zipper styles. The SwiftyBagger SB-36 horizontal bagger automatically moves the bag from the delivery station, positions the bag to be opened, filled, flattened and sealed before discharging it at the other end. Available options such as code dating, bag deflating, hole punching and corner or center capping are available.
The horizontal bagger also features a flat, color touch-screen control panel that offers an intuitive user interface. According to the company, the only thing the operator has to do to keep the production going is to refill the bag delivery station with more non-wicket bags as needed.
