Non-dairy foods are an integral part of certain diets, such as for those with dairy-protein allergies or lactose intolerance, as well as vegans and some religious groups. But even non-dairy food products needn't be without the unique flavor impact of dairy. Here are some suggestions for adding cheese, butter and other dairy-type profiles that are kosher pareve certified and totally free of any dairy protein.

While originally developed in a limited variety to address certain niche demands, Edlong Dairy Flavors' Vision line has since expanded to meet the needs of a diversified and more accommodating general market. With the consumer demand for kosher pareve, vegetarian and vegan, lactose-free and generally lower-fat options becoming more prevalent, its more than 150 Vision flavors fit the bill for products that need all the dairy flavor with none of the dairy constraints.

The majority of these flavors are either spray-dried powders or emulsions, with part of the line in liquid form. Several of the flavors undergo our CapsuLong processing, a proprietary method of producing highly stable encapsulated ingredients. Solubility ranges from water-dispersible to oilsoluble, and usage levels are similar to our other well-known concentrated dairy flavors.
