Extreme duty multimeters

There are waterproof (IP 67) digital multimeters, but a new one from Fluke Corp. actually floats. The Fluke 27 II and Fluke 28 II are designed to survive dust, water and rough handling – including a 10-ft. drop and temperatures from -15 degrees C (-5 degrees F) to 55 degrees C (131 degrees F). Both measure up to 1,000 VAC and DC up to 10A (20A for 30 seconds) powered by 3 AA batteries. They are safety rated for use in CAT IV 600 V/CAT III 1000 V working environments.
