Old Amsterdam, made from pasteurized cow’s milk and crafted using a unique recipe and ripening process from Holland’s Westland family, is cut to exact 5.2-oz wedges and wrapped in distinctive parchment paper. Master cheese makers supervise every phase of Old Amsterdam production, ensuring consistent superior milk quality, proper seasonality, temperature and the ripening process that results in fine crystal formulations, giving this cheese a uniquely rich, flavorful profile: hints of butterscotch/whiskey at finish and wonderfully smooth texture.

During September, Old Amsterdam will participate in New York/Netherlands Henry Hudson 400th anniversary celebration, sponsoring a Dutch flat-bottom boat—similar to Henry Hudson’s Half Moon ship that brought him to the Northeast coast in 1609—to sail in a grand naval parade in New York’s harbor.  A working New Amsterdam Village will also be set up in lower Manhattan’s Bowling Green Park, with interactive demos, consumer coupon give-aways and product samplings.
