Polypropylene Tubing A Replacement for Fluoropolymer Tubing
Prolite polypropylene tubing is now available from tubing manufacturer NewAge Industries. A semi-rigid product, Prolite is made from an NSF-61 (National Sanitation Foundation) compound and is used in applications such as portable water supply, food processing, beverage transfer, chemical lines, dispensing equipment, environmental monitoring, pharmaceutical processing, refrigeration, compressed air, electronic equipment and household appliances, and more.
Prolite’s properties include:
- Excellent chemical and corrosion resistance
- Very low moisture absorption
- High dielectric strength
- Meets UL94 HB burn rating
- Lightweight
- Thermoformable and weldable
- Low surface friction
- Compound meets FDA requirements for food contact surfaces
Prolite is stocked in nine sizes (1/4-inch through 1-1/4-inch O.D.) for same-day shipment. Custom options consist of non-stock sizes, colors, heat formed shapes, coils, and cut-to-length pieces.
