Floor Coating Contains Antimicrobial Additive

Aug. 3, 2010
UCoat It floor coating systems resist penetration of moisture into the substrate.
UCoat It America now offers floor coatings with an antimicrobial additive.  The additive is a compound integrated into the finishing products during manufacturing that chemically eliminates microorganisms, which enables the coating to resist mildew to extend the life of concrete and wood surfaces and to inhibit offensive odors.   The antimicrobial additive, which is indicated by the suffix “-AM,” is available in all UCoat It finishing products, the most common of which are UCoat commercial-grade epoxy floor coating (UCoat-AM), which serves as a primer for other UCoat It finishes or as a standalone, satin-finish floor coating.
