Bob's Red Mill Adds to Granola Offerings

Portland, Ore.-based Bob's Red Mill Natural Foods adds two new and two improved ready-to-eat granolas to its portfolio. Available in the U.S. and Canada, the granola line is made with whole grain oats, offers a naturally sweetened combination of convenience and crunch and can be enjoyed in a variety of ways -- a traditional bowl of cereal with milk, as an on-the-go snack food, or as a crunchy whole grain addition to yogurt or fruit cobbler.

Whole grain oats are one of the most complete breakfast foods and are preferred by athletes, health professionals and health nuts alike for their energetic properties and ability to lower cholesterol, aid in weight loss and assist in maintaining a healthy blood sugar level. Bob's Red Mill's new oat-based granolas are rich in calcium, magnesium, and vitamin E and are loaded with crunchy rice clusters for added kick.

New varieties include: Cinnamon Raisin Granola, a flavorful mix featuring whole grain oats, rice flour, oat flour, barley malt, unsulfured raisins, cinnamon and brown sugar, and Honey Oat Granola, a traditional combination featuring whole grain oats, rice flour, oat flour, and barley malt, sweetened with brown sugar, honey and pure vanilla. Improved varieties include: Apple Blueberry Granola, a combination of whole grain oats, rice flour, oat flour, and barley malt, featuring unsulfured dried apples, natural blueberry flavor, fruit concentrate and evaporated cane juice, and Natural Granola, a classic approach to an old family favorite, this granola features whole grain oats, oat flour, rice flour and barley malt with fruit concentrate, natural vanilla and pure cane sugar.
