Ruffles has added a twist to one of America’s most popular side dishes.

Ruffles has added a twist to one of America’s most popular side dishes. Ruffles Crispy Fries Potato Strips, which debuted just in time for National French Fry Day on July 13, are the first french fry-shaped snacks sliced from real potatoes. The new product brings to life the french fry experience -- from the shape, to the taste, to the crunchy texture and even to the packaging. They can even be microwaved for a straight-from-the-diner flavor.

While numerous reports suggest french fries originated in Belgium during World War I, this finger food has become one of the most popular and iconic in modern America. Ruffles' newest snack adds a unique spin on the long and celebrated history of the french fry. It comes in two varieties, Original and Cheese.
