Jay Street Coffee leverages manufacturer's expertise in fresh-brewed, great-tasting beverages.

Inspired by the neighborhood and street address that the company is situated on, new Jay Street Coffee is the most recent innovation from the Brooklyn, N.Y.-based beverage company Ito En (North America) Inc. Known for its signature ready-to-drink teas sold under the brand Teas’ Tea, the company is expanding its beverage offerings by venturing into the booming category of coffee-milk beverages.

“Similar to our Teas’ Tea and Oi Ocha brands of fresh-brewed ready-to-drink tea products, we developed the Jay Street Coffee brand to leverage our expertise in fresh-brewed, great-tasting beverages,” says Jim Hoagland, executive vice president of sales and marketing. “The ready-to-drink coffee category is growing at almost 20 percent per year, and we believe that the combination of our state-of-the art technology used to freshly brew an all-natural, shelf-stable coffee in a lightweight (16.9-oz.) PET bottle will appeal to today’s active coffee lover.”

The new Jay Street Coffee drink comes in three flavors: Latte, Mocha and Vanilla. It is fresh brewed from 100 percent Arabica coffee beans roasted to a medium roast, which enhances the sweetness while minimizing any acidity. Packaging for Jay Street Coffee depicts various iconic Brooklyn themes, such as the water tower located atop Ito En’s 20 Jay Street building, a historic brownstone window and a wrought-iron gate. The suggested retail price for a single bottle is $2.49.
