Expanding upon its existing line of wholesome frozen foods, Kellogg Co., Battle Creek, Mich., is growing its Kashi brand with Greek Tzatziki and Indian Tikka Masala single-serve pizzas. Both vegetarian pizzas are made with a traditional stone-fired crust made with Kashi Seven Whole Grains, flax and sesame.

“We’re always looking for innovative ways to spice up meals and nourish progressive appetites,” says John King, marketing director. “Kashi’s new single-serve pizzas are made from real, wholesome ingredients brought together in exciting new ways, delivering great taste with fun global flair.”

The Greek variety is topped with spinach, artichokes, tomatoes, feta, mozzarella and tzatziki yogurt sauce. A single pizza contains 23g of whole grain, 17g of protein and 6g of fiber. The Indian variety is topped with mozzarella, fire-roasted eggplant, spinach, tomatoes, crushed red pepper and a spicy tikka masala sauce. A single pizza contains 24g of whole grain, 18g of protein and 7g of fiber. The suggested retail price is $3.99.

In June 2013, Kashi introduced other ethnic-flavored frozen foods, including Moroccan Minestrone Soup, Mushroom & Asparagus Risotto and Three Cheese Ravioli. The soup features a combination of vegetables, including zucchini, chickpeas, tomatoes, onions, kale, yellow carrots and roasted garlic, combined with Kashi Seven Whole Grain Orzo Pasta. The steam meals use pasta made with the same whole-grain medley.
