Cabot Creamery introduces four premium, hand-crafted cheeses that celebrate the cooperative’s early years, which began in 1919. The Cabot Founder’s Collection comes in 6-oz. wrapped squares that can be merchandised in the specialty cheese case or alongside other Cabot cheeses in dairy department.

The Adirondack variety celebrates New York farmers’ traditional cheddar recipe with its distinctively tangy “upstate” bite. This cheddar carries hints of grapefruit and bergamot within a crumbly texture that still feels creamy and smooth. The creaminess of this cheese gets even more pronounced as it warms to tasting temperature.

Lamberton commemorates one of Cabot’s founding farmers, F.C. Lamberton. This English-style cheddar has caramelized notes and a buttery bite. Orne Meadows recognizes one of Cabot’s founding cheesemakers, Tom Orne. A smooth Alpine-style cheddar, it has a subtle, sweet nutty flavor profile. The fourth offering is the most exclusive one. Inspired by the cooperative’s founding farmers, Private Stock is a savory extra-sharp cheddar masterpiece aged to perfection. It delivers the signature “Northeast bite” one expects from Cabot cheddar alongside a subtle, buttery smooth texture. The suggested retail price for a retail unit is $4.99.
