Breakfast has always been a challenging time for busy families. Armed with the knowledge that protein is a great way to kick-start the day, an ordinary bowl of cereal and milk doesn’t cut it for many active consumers. Kellogg Co. is helping make mornings yummier and easier with new Eggo Breakfast Sandwiches.

With time being of essence in the morning, the new sandwiches were designed to go from freezer to plate in minutes. Real eggs, melty cheese and savory sausage or bacon come stacked between slices of soft waffle-style bread baked with a touch of maple flavor. Each single-serve sandwich contains 200-290 calories, 8-17g of fat, 9-10g of protein and 2g of fiber, depending on variety, of which there are three: Bacon, Egg & Cheese; Egg & Cheese; and Sausage, Egg & Cheese.

They are sold in boxes of four individually wrapped sandwiches for a suggested retail price of $5.99.
