Hormel Serves Up Meal Prep Short Cuts

The food manufacturer is rolling out a number of meal shortcuts, including fully cooked Hormel Taco Meats, hot sandwich meats, and real bacon sprinkles.

Hormel Foods Corp. is rolling out a number of meal shortcuts. Fully cooked Hormel Taco Meats come in three shredded, seasoned varieties: beef, chicken and pork. There’s also ground, seasoned beef crumbles. All four options are packaged in 12-oz. stand-up pouches and have a suggested retail price of $4.99-5.99.

Recognizing that the sandwiches consumers make for dinner are much different than those made for lunch, the meal solutions company is also introducing Hormel Hot Sandwich Meats. Offered in two varieties, these products make meal prep quick and easy, while also taking sandwiches from boring to brilliant. Varieties are Philly Style Steak and Buffalo Style Chicken. They come in 14-oz. tubs and also retail for $4.99-5.99.

This third launch is one of those “what took so long?” items. New Hormel Real Bacon Sprinkles allow consumers to use bacon in the same way they use grated parmesan cheese. The sprinkles are packaged in a 3-oz. plastic jar and easily add pizzazz to salads, potatoes, casseroles, pizza, soup and more.
