StarKist Co. has teamed up with Executive Chef Ryan Scott to introduce StarKist Gourmet Selects Tuna Pouches.

StarKist Co., a leading producer and marketer of shelf-stable seafood products, has teamed up with Executive Chef Ryan Scott, a TV and radio food show host, to take shelf-stable tuna to the next level with the introduction of internationally inspired flavors. StarKist Gourmet Selects Tuna Pouches feature wild-caught, premium tuna mixed with real vegetables. There are three varieties. Mediterranean includes chopped sundried tomatoes and is packed in extra virgin olive oil. Mexican has diced jalapenos and sunflower oil. Thai relies on diced chili peppers and is also in sunflower oil.

“As the first seafood company to introduce the flavor-fresh pouch, innovation is at the core of everything we do,” says Frank Pogue, vice president-marketing and innovation. “We’re bringing convenience to the gourmet food category. By combining global flavors with premium quality tuna, we are further elevating the way Americans think about seafood.”

The new line comes in 2.6-oz. pouches with a convenient tear-open and no-drain design, making it easy to enjoy tuna straight from the pouch or to easily incorporate into a simple meal or snack. The suggested retail price is $1.69 per pouch.
