The organic fruit and vegetable purees for kids are made using high-pressure pasteurization (HPP), which is a cool-temperature sterilization technique.

Pure Spoon is the first-to-market maker of 100 percent organic fruit and vegetable purees for kids made using high-pressure pasteurization (HPP), which is a cool-temperature sterilization technique that locks in more flavor and nutrition, as compared to traditional high-heat pasteurization. The refrigerated purees come in 11 varieties, all in single-serve recyclable 4.2-oz. containers. Varieties are: Spinach, Pear & Bananas; Sweet Potato & Apples; Carrots & Zucchini; Blueberry, Banana & Apples; Simply Carrots; Apples & Broccoli; Butternut Squash, Apples & Oats; Creamy Avocado & Apples; Creamy Avocado & Pears; Simply Pears; and Simply Apples.

“With HPP, we maintain the integrity of the puree’s flavor, vitamins and nutrients and because we start with raw, fresh, 100 percent organic fresh fruits and veggies, we’re creating purees with maximum flavor and nutrition,” says Alyson Eberle, company founder and a working mom who started Pure Spoon because she was not comfortable with the baby food she found at the grocery store when looking to feed her six-month-old daughter.

“Pure Spoon provides a long overdue, new, healthy option in the ready-to-eat, fruit and vegetable category for kids, one that tastes delicious and is good for them.”
