2017 Industry Outlook
January 26, 2017
Join Food Processing's own Dave Fusaro as he talks about the issues that will change the food industry in 2017. Primarily, 2017 will be the year to prepare to meet new regulations taking effect in 2018: things like GMO labeling, the new Nutrition Facts panel (with its call-out of added sugars) and the phase-out of PHOs. 2017 will see its own milestones in the unfolding Food Safety Modernization Act, FDA "goals" on sodium and the agency's efforts to define "healthy." Business-wise, Conagra Brands starts life as a semi-new company, AB-InBev now includes Miller-Coors and Hostess is again public. And what effect will President Trump have on the industry? Focus on: SprayOn NSF H1 High-Performance Food Grade Aerosol Lubricants
Lubricating today's Food Processing equipment presents many of the same challenges found in non-food processing plants. Lubricants must protect against friction, wear, corrosion, heat and deposits. They must also resist degradation or impaired performance when in contact with food products, process chemicals, water (steam) and bacteria. And, perhaps most importantly, they must be safe in case they ever come in contact with the food. For years, using "food safe" lubricants meant that Food Processing Maintenance Professionals had to sacrifice the performance they needed. Sprayon® felt that didn’t have to be the case. Join Food Processing's Kevin Higgins, Joseph M. Murlin, Sprayon® Product Manager, and Jim Belcik, Sprayon® End-User Engagement Specialist, as they talk about Sprayon®'s NSF® H1 Aerosol Lubricants during this 30-minute Q&A presentation.
