Randall Foods Completes Assembly of Executive Leadership Team

Finalizing its executive team is the latest step in completing its merger integration plan.

Value-added meat processor Randall Foods has completed its executive team buildout, according to a release distributed by the company.

Mike Buccheri will continue to lead Randall Foods as its CEO, bringing more than three decades of experience to the role. He formerly served as CEO at CTI Foods and also held various leadership roles at Simmons Foods and Tyson Foods over the years. Meanwhile, Matt Ellis continues as executive vice president and CFO, after previously serving as CFO at Founders Food Group and subsidiaries of Tyson Foods.

The rest of Randall Foods’ leadership team includes COO John Whatley, CIO Mario Valdovino and chief procurement officer David Minx. Lisette Funke has been promoted to senior vice president of human resources, and Ana Teheran to vice president of food safety and quality. Finally, Marcelo Larpin was recently hired to be the chief customer officer for Randall Foods.

The new Randall Foods was born from a merger between Randall Foods and WilMar Meat in 2022. Randall Foods offers fresh and frozen value-added ground beef, poultry, beef, and pork protein solutions, with four facilities in Vernon, Calif. Since the merger of the companies, it has undergone a comprehensive integration plan in its people, systems and processes. It has also made recent capital investments in automation to add to the substantial capacity for growth and its commitment to operational and commercial excellence.
