Tea that Sneaks in the Veggies
Little Me Tea from the namesake company is the only organic, Non-GMO Project Verified kids’ tea and juice drink in the market. It is a blend of antioxidant-rich teas sweetened only with fruit and vegetable juices, with all the varieties containing apple, carrot and sweet potato. The tea blend consists of chamomile extract, hibiscus extract, rooibos (red) tea and white tea.
The original line rolled out about a year ago in Julia’s Tropical Tea and Zane’s Grape Tea varieties. Two new additions are Fruit Punch Tea and Berry Tasty Tea. The new flavors will be available in stores by the first quarter of 2015. The full line of Little Me Teas are available in 6.75-oz. aseptic boxes with a suggested retail price of $2.99-3.39 for a three-pack. These single-serve packs contain a mere 25 calories and only 6g of sugar, courtesy of the juices. As of September, Little Me Tea can be found in more than 600 stores nationwide and in the Caribbean.
