Hormel Foods Appoints New Vice President of Corporate Strategy

Hormel Foods announced the appointment of Jacinth Smiley as group vice president of corporate strategy.

Hormel Foods announced the appointment of Jacinth Smiley as group vice president of corporate strategy. According to the announcement, Smiley will report to Jim Snee, chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer of Hormel Foods. 

Smiley, who is replacing the retired Jim Splinter, will be in charge developing and executing Hormel's growth and investment strategies.

Prior to coming to Hormel, she was vice president and chief accounting officer for LyondellBasell. She also spent 20 years with General Electric (GE) in various roles across multiple industries, rising to chief financial officer for GE Oil and Gas North America.
