New Exces at Danone, Chobani, Triumph, Jack Link's.

On the recommendation of Franck Riboud, French dairy Danone is splitting the roles of chairman and CEO. Ribaud will remain chairman with that office's duties expanded, and his deputy Emmanuel Faber will become CEO. As part of this new governance structure, Bernard Hours, who was co-COO with Faber, left the company. Riboud will devote more time to longterm strategy. This is the first time in the company's history the roles of CEO and chairman have been split; it's effective Oct. 1.

Chobani Inc. on Sept. 3 named Dr. Robert Post senior director for nutrition and regulatory affairs. Involved in nutrition and food policy for more than 30 years, he was a supporter and collaborator on First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! Initiative. He also was acting executive director of the USDA’s Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion, where he directed the evolution of the food pyramid to the next-generation MyPlate initiative. Most recently, Post was chief science officer for FoodMinds, a food and nutrition consulting and communications agency, where he advised major food companies on changes in the nutritional affairs environment.

Rick Hoffman, the only chief executive officer Triumph Foods has ever known, retired in July. Mark Campbell, who was Triumph’s chief operating officer and who began his career with Triumph in 2004, succeeds Hoffman.

Jack Link’s Beef Jerky hired Tony Dunning as executive vice president of customer development, in which he will lead all sales activity for Link Snack brands in North America. He joins Jack Link’s with more than 30 years of sales and leadership experience, most recently from Kimberly-Clark North America as vice president of U.S. consumer sales and customer development. Earlier he was with PepsiCo North America.
