Prime Meats Seeks Acquisitions After Securing PE Investment
Duluth, Ga.-based protein processor Prime Meats has secured an investment from private equity firm Shoreline Equity Partners LLC, according to a release from Shoreline announcing the partnership. The value of the investment were not disclosed.
Prime Meats was founded in 1992 by Norberto Sanchez and has grown to serve value-added protein products (beef, poultry, pork, dairy, seafood and specialty) to more than 4,200 independent restaurants, grocery stores and butcher shops, focused on Hispanic and traditional markets, across 15 states in the Southeast.
With the investment, Prime Meats plans to continue its growth trajectory and seek acquisition opportunities across the country. Sanchez, who is currently founder and chairman, and the rest of the Prime Meats team will remain at the helm of the company.
