Welch Foods announced a $26.2 million expansion at its Van Buren County (near Lawton) Michigan facility, adding up to 57 jobs.
A new bottling line is going into the southwest Michigan plant to meet increased demand for single-serve beverages, according to state officials.
The project is being supported by $588,725 in federal Community Development Block Grant funds, which will require at least 30 of the 57 new jobs to be held by low- or moderate-income individuals, according to MiBiz.
