General Mills will spend $65 million to improve its plant in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
The plant, which makes Yoplait yogurt and Pillsbury dough products, will get upgrades to its equipment and overall technology. The company says the improvements are necessary to meet increased consumer demand.
The improvements will net General Mills a $326,000 break on property taxes over the next 10 years, according to the Murfreesboro Voice. It received $2.9 million in tax incentives for an expansion of the Murfreesboro facility in 2015 that cost $253 million.
