The expansion of the existing 300,000-sq.-ft. facility will take place in four phases. The first will add to the plant’s capacity to process family-sized and bulk meals, according to MiBiz.com. The next will add 157,000 sq. ft. of frozen warehouse space, with potential for adding another 100,000 sq. ft. in the future. Request also is planning a new production plant for ready-to-eat meals, which will be created out of existing warehouse space, and an upgrade to its wastewater treatment plant.
Request received a total of $10.5 million in various local government incentives for the project, MiBiz reports.
