Tyson Foods Spending $27 Million to Upgrade Illinois Plant

The plant was owned by AdvancePierre Foods, which Tyson acquired in 2017 which acquired the plant along with Landshire Inc., a manufacturer of sandwich products, in 2015.
Tyson Foods plans to invest $27 million in upgrades to a prepared foods plant in Caseyville, Ill., just east of St. Louis.
Tyson said the project will include three new lines that will produce approximately 16 million lbs. of product annually. This investment will result in the creation of approximately 100 new jobs. "We expect the lines to be operational by March of this year," a spokesperson said.
