Premium Waters Inc. expects to break ground on new Seguin, Texas, facility in 2023, with operations beginning in 2024.

Bottled water producer Premium Waters Inc. plans to build a new bottling plant in the city of Seguin, Texas, some 35 miles outside San Antonio, according to a release from the municipality.

Premium Waters plans to break ground before the end of 2023 on the $80 million facility, which will span 27 acres and create at least 60 full-time jobs. The plant is anticipated to begin operating in 2024.

Premium Waters is a national bottled water company offering home and office delivery services, as well as branded, private-label and custom-label bottled water, and accompanying products such as water coolers and filtration systems, according to the company’s Web site. The Minneapolis-based company has more than 20 processing and distribution facilities clustered in the Great Lakes region and scattered throughout the U.S.

Premium Waters was approved to receive a performance-based, $150,000 incentive incrementally upon verification that certain capital investment, job creation, and payroll performance benchmarks have been met over the term of the agreement with the region’s economic development group and Seguin city council.
