Celebrating its 50th anniversary, the processor of authentic Mexican-style cheese, crema, chorizo and salsa makes significant investments in Texas.

Cacique Foods has celebrated its 50th anniversary with the grand opening of a new dairy processing facility in Amarillo, Texas, and new corporate headquarters in Irving, Texas. Cacique Foods is a family-owned Hispanic foods company, producing authentic Mexican-style cheeses, cremas, chorizos and salsas in the U.S.

According to a release from the company, the new, 200,000-square-foot facility will process Cacique’s cheeses and cremas, and will feature technology that makes it the most state-of-the-art dairy processing facility in America. The building features seven miles of stainless-steel pipe over nearly three-and-a-half football fields of production capacity to support future growth.

The company is also investing in the future of Mexican cuisine by providing educational opportunities for the next generation interested in food manufacturing careers in Amarillo, contributing $35,000 to both Amtech Career Academy and Amarillo College, which support food manufacturing curriculums.
