The fourth-generation family-owned grower of tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and berries opened the facilities in Richmond and Morehead, Ky., adding to its commercial greenhouse growing operations, which its web site claims are 10 times more land-efficient than traditional field farms.
Mastronardi Produce has already set up a support team to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of operations for employees at Morehead and Richmond, the company release stated.
