Standard Meat Company Building a Sous Vide Plant

Jan. 23, 2024
The 166,000-sq.-ft. facility will be the company’s fifth plant, all in Fort Worth, Texas.

Standard Meat Co. announced the construction of their fifth protein processing plant, all in its hometown of Fort Worth, Texas. This 166,000-sq.-ft. plant will occupy a renovated 1955 meat processing facility in Fort Worth’s northside, a short distance from the Standard Meat Co. headquarters at the historic Fort Worth Stockyards.

The company purchased the building for development in 2023 and has plans to install a sous vide line. Expansion capacity at the new site will allow for additional sous vide lines, or other production lines as needed to explore future technologies and address emerging opportunities.

Adam Speirs, an 18-year company employee, has been named plant manager.
