Bridor Plans New Bakery Facility in Salt Lake City, Utah, Area

May 20, 2024
Construction on new manufacturing facility to begin this fall, with an expected opening date of January 2026.

Bridor, a manufacturer of premium frozen bakery products and subsidiary of Le Duff Group, has announced it will invest in a new processing facility in the Salt Lake City, Utah, area — its fifth plant in North America, according to a release distributed by the company.

Bridor produces breads and Viennese pastries which are sold in more than 100 countries, currently manufactured in four plants, located in New Jersey, Connecticut and Canada. Construction of the Utah facility will begin this fall, with an expected opening date for the plant in January 2026. It will focus on a large range of artisan breads and Viennese pastries for the American market, “adapted to Western customer preferences,” the release noted.

The company expects to invest nearly $220 million from 2024 to 2029 to spur Bridor’s development in the industrial bakery sector. The new Utah facility is expected to add more than 150 new jobs in 2026, and approximately 300 overall down the road.
