G&S Foods, a co-packer and private label manufacturer of snack foods, cut the ribbon this week on its new manufacturing facility in Hanover, Pa. The facility has 348,344 sq. ft. of production space, allowing G&S Foods to expand production capacity, develop new snack products and consolidate operations.
The new facility will house G&S Foods’ entire operation, including production, research & development, warehousing and administrative offices. It has the capacity to make extruded, baked or fried products from pretzels, to organic veggie sticks to chocolate covered pretzels, with the flexibility for single batch test runs to in-line packaging of commercial runs.
Total investment in the facility was not disclosed, but new equipment alone cost $50 million. The current employment is 400, but the company estimates that increasing to 1,000 over the next few years.
G&S since 2018 has been owned by MAW Acquisitions LP.
